It can start with feedback from a more senior manager, a performance appraisal or 360 review, engagement survey, or other input routinely delivered on a regular basis by or to your organisation. [You may also take an executive appraisal/review through The Executive Shortlist, which provides practical feedback, captured in a 30-page report with down-to-earth, realistic advice and workbook]. Either way, the objectives of any such coaching is the same – to improve yourself as a manager and to become a better leader. Coaching is usually executed in small blocks of time over several months.
